The original plan for this New Year’s Eve had been to spend it together with my friends Helen and Michelle. As usual for these kinds of plans, things went back and forth and ended up entirely different from the first idea. I finally spent the night with Michelle (as planned!) and my friend Caro plus about 15 people which I’d never met before.
Our location was the farm Rosenhill and as last time there, things again became special. We celebrated in the old farm house, filled with tales and tons of stuff, decoration, hippie spirited accessories and a real candle chandelier. Three extremely talented guys improvised together on piano, guitars, recorders and violin, both classic Christmas carols and old Beatles’ songs. At midnight we walked up a hill with perfect view on Stockholm and its fireworks and clinked glasses filled with fruit juice. Finally I met an unknown blog reader that I didn’t even know existed, which (childish, but yes) made me extremely happy. Micke, the honor is all yours.
